In 2012, the state of Washington enacted domesticating out-of-state subpoenas under the Uniform Interstate Depositions and Discovery Act (UIDDA). However, it is important to check the requirements of both the state and county where your case is venued and the state and county where you seek to conduct discovery because some states have adopted slight variations of the UIDDA.
